As part of my growing obsession with The Band, I watched The Festival Express. I thought this was the best scene in the movie, featuring Rick Danko, Janis Joplin, Jerry Garcia, singing Ain't No Cane on the Brazos. About 2 minutes in you can really see just how wasted Rick Danko was.

Flu Shot
"Doctor make Ally sad."
"The doctor made you sad?"
"Brave."
"But you were brave?"
"George sticker."
"The doctor gave you a Curious George sticker?"
"Yes."

You Bastards!
It's like you've never seen Kansas lose to a shitty team. It happens every March. You shouldn't be surprised.
Down to 180. 1.5 lbs a week like clockwork. Hope this sense of smell doesn't come back. Ran 3 miles on Monday and 1 yesterday.
I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome of the election.
What else? What else? I'm going to NYC for Thanksgiving. In Philly on Friday.
I'm afraid that's it.

I'm Listening to The Band (1/14/74, Boston Garden, MA)
right now at link. This site is really cool. Registering is easy and free. There are hundreds of concerts to choose from:
"Bill Graham and his concert promotion company, Bill Graham Presents, produced more than 35,000 concerts all over the world. His first venue, the legendary Fillmore Auditorium, was home to many of rock's greatest performers - Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, The Doors, The Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane, Otis Redding, Marvin Gaye, Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan, Prince - and the list goes on and on.G raham taped thousands of live performances and stored the tapes in the basement of the BGP headquarters. These tapes and the concerts they captured lay dormant until the Bill Graham archive was acquired by Wolfgang's Vault (Bill Graham's given first name was Wolfgang) in 2003."

General update:
My scale had to be replaced a few weeks ago. It was unreliable. Never the same reading twice. I finally determined it was about 2 pounds light, making my starting weight 196. I am now down to 181.4. Closing in on goal of 175. Been running a couple of times a week. Up to about 2 miles. Getting cold. Now riding stationary bike.
Ally really enjoyed halloween. She was a big fan of Bob the Builder costumes. "More Bob the Builder." "More kids".
I mentioned previously that I saw the Last Waltz and have been in big The Band phase, so I thought it was pretty cool when I saw my fraternity brother Jason Fuller has been playing, among other gigs, in a Last Waltz Tribute Ensemble.
Looking forward to Tuesday. I trust the people will make things right.
It's only exhibition, but looking good: boxscore
That is all.
