My alter ego at the University of Cincinnati having some issues. I recently received this e-mail:

D____, I am very concerned that you are still coded as an A & S undeclared major. As you know, A & S students are not allowed to take the CCM core curriculumin music history and theory. My understanding is that you have auditioned in saxophone but were not admitted and now are pursuing admission into the music education program. My understanding from Professor Wing, however, is that you have not been admitted to that program. Could you please stop by to see Dr. Zierolf regarding this matter? Thank you.

On Saturday we went to the Flugtag. I'm told Flugtag means flying day in German. A few of the basics: Human-powered flying machines are launched off a 25-foot ramp above the Inner Harbor. All flying machines must be entirely human-powered (no external energy sources or stored power). All crafts must be less than 30 feet wide. And finally, no matter what they say, size does matter -- all crafts must weigh no more than 450 lbs. (including the pilot). We weren't expecting 70,000 people when we down there. We ended up sitting on Federal Hill (the big hill in the upper left of the video) watching the big screens. The idea of sticking even your toe into the harbor is pretty gross, but watching these guys fly into the harbor was not a bad way to spend the afternoon.
