I recently switched my primary e-mail to gmail. It turns out there is another soul who thinks his e-mail is d___d.e.w___e@gmail.com. Poor bastard doesn't know I'm getting all his e-mail from the University of Cincinnati. I'm afraid he's probably missed several important meetings and deadlines.

I'm trying to use this lack of smell (i.e. taste) to my advantage. I've given up all the foods that are bad for you and mostly eat salad for lunch. My weight has gone done from a bloated 194 following debauchery in New Orleans to a not so svelte 186.5. Lately, I've even been moved to what some people would call exercise.

I caught the Last Waltz the other day on cable, and then watched again. I'm deep into a Band/Dylan phase.

Response to comments: Online storage seems expensive. I'm leaning towards an external back-up. I saw Weeds a couple of times. Decent, but not good enough to justify keeping Showtime after 1 year dealio expired. Battlestar Galactica seems to be getting rave reviews, but I'm not ready to commit. I watched two episodes of Studio 360 and have decided that's enough for this life. It's just not that interesting. I'm going to give Heros a shot too. Jasper John's lawyers, quality comment.

I am 2-1 Fantasy Football.

Although the odds are still long, who would have thought two years ago that the Dems are now poised to take control of the Sentate: State-by-State Summary. I understand the Dems chances in the House are even better. The Alito nomination was perhaps the high-water mark of this Republican rule in the post-Clinton era. But for Iraq, I think the Republicans would have controlled at least 2/3 branches of the govt. for at least another decade.

The basement/bathroom rehab is ongoing. Ally seems to be the only fan. When she sees the workers, she says, "Hi boom-boom". When they leave, she says, "Bye-bye boom-boom".

The harddrive on the new computer crashed. Dell actually did a good job sending a guy out to the house to switch it out in two days. However, as I was attempting to transfer my music from my computer to my hard drive, I think I erased 300 or so of my songs. Worst part about it is, I have no idea which ones were erased. I know, I know, if I don't know which ones they are, I won't miss them. But I will, no doubt at the worst possible time. I think I'm finally going to get some sort of back-up drive, twice in 6 months is too much.

The TV people told me the new adventures of old christine was good. I watched it. It sucks. Studio 60 looks promising. Joshmag told me that it's always sunny in philadelphia & rescue me are good. They are in fact great. First couple of episodes of the wire have been outstanding.

That is all.
