Once again, Jim Rice gets the shaft. Go back and compare his #'s from his 16 seasons and those of Tony Perez (2000) and explain to me why Perez is in and Jim Ed continues to wait. Votes should not be anonomous so these Idiots can explain themselves.
The difference between Rice and Perez is 200 RBIs, and a number of years of heavy lobbying by Perez and his friends Bench and Morgan. I personally go back and forth on Rice and whether I think he should be in the Hall of Fame. I think he will probably get in, but it will take a few more years of lobbying.
Personally, I think that Andre Dawson is getting short-changed. He's got better power numbers than Rice, was a stolen base threat (at least early in his career), and was a gold glove outfielder. (In full disclosure, I am a Cub fan).
